Soha – Registered Dental Hygienist
Soha received a degree in Biology from the University of Tehran and then went on to graduate with honors from the Dental Hygiene Department of Pasadena City College.
Upon graduation, Soha was presented with several top awards that recognize her academic and clinical achievements, as well as her work with providing dental care to the medically compromised or elderly patients at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles.
Today, Soha enjoys educating people about the importance of preventing dental problems by teaching them the proper way of flossing and brushing. Her patients enjoy her light touch and her teammates appreciate her eagerness to help out whenever needed.
In her spare time, Soha enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys the great outdoors, learning new languages, dancing, swimming, and baking.
Stephanie – Registered Dental Hygienist
A Santa Clarita native, Stephanie attended College of the Canyons. She achieved her goal of becoming a dental hygienist by receiving a degree in Dental Hygiene from the Concorde Career College in Garden Grove.
She originally became interested in the field of dental hygiene when she was a patient here at Dentistry for Kids and Adults.
Stephanie enjoys learning about her patients and the always evolving field of dentistry. She strives to approach each day with a smile and provides a positive, comfortable experience for each patient.
When not at work, she loves exploring new cities and trying different restaurants.
Shawna – Patient Care Coordinator
Shawna started her career with us as an extern after finishing college. Over the years, she has become a true patient advocate who makes sure that every patient receives only the best care.
Shawna seems to make the impossible possible by working out even the toughest situations for our patients. She finds a way to make dentistry affordable for every patient; she figures out a way to maximize insurance benefits for patients who need a lot of dental work; she helps fearful patients feel at ease by finding solutions to minimize their fear or discomfort; she finds answers to all patient questions or concerns.
With her infectious smile and sparkling eyes, Shawna exudes warmth and confidence that our patients appreciate so much. She never seems to have a bad day and always naturally assumes the responsibility of a team leader, getting everyone in the office on the same page and ready to serve our patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys her family, her many friends, and the great outdoors.
Jessica- Registered Expanded Function Dental Assistant
Jessica has been working with us since graduating from Dental Assisting College in 2005. With her vibrant smile and loving personality, she always wants to make sure that every patient leaves our office with a positive experience.
Bright and dedicated to her work, Jessica is always looking for new and innovative ways to help her patients. After learning about Invisalign® clear aligners and completing an Invisalign Certification, she has been involved in all of our Invisalign Smile Makeovers that help patients achieve straight, beautiful smiles without braces. In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing outdoors with her daughter and her dogs, Spike and Sasha, as well as other outdoor activities, like paintball and soccer. Very outgoing and passionate, Jessica enjoys working in the dental field and hopes to someday attend a dental school to become a dentist.
Patty- Benefits Coordinator
With over ten years of experience in dentistry and her incredible efficiency, there is very little that Patty cannot do. Before joining our office, she had been working as a liaison between a union and a dental insurance plan, where she learned to help patients get the most out of their dental benefits.
Patty came to work in a private practice because she genuinely enjoys interacting with patients in person. With her vivacious laugh and endless energy, she easily connects with our patients and ensures that everyone feels comfortable.
She says that it’s our friendly patients who make her smile every minute of every day. Patty’s job is to work with insurance companies to represent the interests of our patients and to ensure that every patient can get the most out of his or her dental insurance benefits.
In her free time, she enjoys watching her daughter play basketball and listening to her son play various musical instruments. Her passion is running, hiking and spending time with her husband, children, and their two dogs.
Claudia- Registered Dental Assistant
Claudia started with us as an extern after completing her education at Bryman Dental Assisting College. She quickly gained skills and understanding of what patients need when they come to us.
She is passionate about preventive dentistry, and after completing her Advanced Sealant Certification, she has been successfully fighting early decay in children.
Claudia is very friendly and has a soft touch that makes little ones feel so comfortable with her. She is also very detail-oriented and organized and makes every procedure that she assists with a quick and easy experience.
Aside from taking care of patients, she also makes sure that kids have a wide variety of toys to choose from as prizes for their excellent behavior, and she helps keep our kids’ rooms clean and enjoyable. Claudia is currently studying to become a dental hygienist.
Sam – Dental Assistant
Sam graduated with a degree in dental assisting from The Charter College in 2012. Sam enjoys working with people. He chose this career path because he wanted to to be in a field where he could contribute to their wellbeing and health.
Sam is passionate about making sure patients have a great experience every time they visit.
Kristin – Registered Dental Hygienist
Kristin received an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Health Professions and an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from West Los Angeles College. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015.
While attending West Los Angeles College she obtained clinical training through UCLA School of Dentistry, VA Los Angeles Hospitals, MEND Clinic and Kids Community Dental Clinic.
Previous to that Kristin worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 17 years. She is enthusiastic about dental health and focused on providing exceptional patient care.
When not at work, Kristin enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with family and friends.
Daisy – Scheduling Coordinator
Daisy graduated with honors from Charter College. She has been a Dental Assistant for over three years and is currently studying for her state board exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant. What Daisy loves most about the dental field is being able to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Her goal every day is to make each patient’s visit as pleasant as possible. You’ll often hear Daisy in an operatory laughing and sharing jokes with patients to make them feel comfortable. Daisy likes to spend her downtime outdoors hiking with her dog, Lucy, running marathons for local organizations, fishing, and kayaking. Her rule in life is try everything once before saying, “I don’t like it.”
Jessica – Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica received her license in dental hygiene after graduating from West Coast University.
Jessica strives to make every patient she works with feel comfortable and well-educated on the importance of good oral health.
Patients appreciate Jessica’s gentle touch and warm, friendly personality.
Gladys – Benefits Coordinator
Gladys graduated from Bryman Dental Assisting College and earned her Registered Dental Assistant Certification in 2006.
She started her dental career as a clinical dental assistant but quickly gravitated to the front office, where she could work with patients on solving their treatment and insurance dilemmas. Being inquisitive and a problem-solver by nature, she found her true calling in guiding patients in making treatment decisions, educating them about their treatment options, and helping them understand their insurance contracts.
Gladys has been married for 14 years and has three children and two family dogs named Coco and Princess. She enjoys spending her free time shopping and is a coffee connoisseur.
Liz – Registered Dental Assistant
Liz graduated from North Hollywood Concorde in 2006 and had been a Registered Dental Assistant for over ten years. Her expertise in various dental procedures shines with any case that she’s dealt.
Liz joined our practice after relocating back from San Diego to be closer to family and friends. Liz has a genuinely warm and friendly personality that will put any nervous patient at ease.
Liz continues to educate herself by attending dental seminars to better help patients improve their oral health. In her spare time, Liz loves to stay active.
She loves the beach, hanging out with family and friends and taking her dog, Daisy, on long hikes.
Sandra – Clinical Supervisor
Sandra has been with our office since its early days. With well over 12 years of experience in the dental field, she has assisted with just about any dental procedure imaginable. As a Clinical Supervisor in our office, Sandra makes it her duty to keep our office clean, organized, well-stocked, and running smoothly.
She has personally trained many of our clinical staff and implemented many great ideas that make dentistry safe and efficient for all of our patients. Very hardworking and always in a good mood, Sandra has never appeared to have a bad day in the many years that she’s been with us.
Being a dedicated team player, she is always eager to jump in to help anyone who may need a hand or to comfort anyone who needs a pat on the back. Besides dentistry, Sandra’s other passions in life are her two sons, Jerry and Ryan.
Jose – Registered Dental Assistant
Jose graduated in 2010 from Everest College with his degree in dental assisting. His goal is to continue his education to become a Registered Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to serve the needs of our patients better.
Jose is very close with his family and learned from his grandfather that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Jose loves spending time with his wife and three kids.
When he has time, Jose also enjoys playing soccer.
Jason- Dental Assistant
Jason is a compassionate person who enjoys helping people. He started his career by joining his family’s construction business, but he soon found that he was interested in health and wellness and wanted to follow a career path that allowed him to help people improve their health.
Jason’s goal is to make sure that each patient has an excellent dental experience and is looking forward to returning.
Jason is currently taking additional courses in dental assisting as well as pursuing his general education at the Antelope Valley College. When not at school or work, Jason enjoys working out and researching healthy eating.
